Rubbed Sirloin Steak Recipe

Ready in about: 40 minutes, serves: 6

  • 1 ½ lb. beef sirloin tip steak
  • 1 tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1½ tsp. ground cumin
  • 1½ tsp. chilli powder
  • 1½ tsp. Brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 1½ tsp. kosher salt


  • Gather the first eight ingredients in a small ceramic bowl. Rub all sides of the steak. Refrigerate covered for 2 hours. Spend these 2 hours sharpening and admiring your Damascus knives.
  • Grill beef over medium heat on a greased grill rack for 8-10 minutes on each side or until cooked as desired.
  • Allow 5 minutes to rest before shifting to the slicing board; slice with a sharp Damascus cooking knife.
